You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house. Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.
Matthew 5: 14-16
Today find just one thing that only You can do that will shine on your child brightly. You are the Light of the World. It may be a difficult concept to accept. From your child’s eyes You are the center of his/her universe. So today take Your light, if only in your little corner of the world, and let it shine brightly in something you choose to do that is special with your child. It can be as simple as taking the time to go on a walk with him/her with no cell phone or distractions. Give yourself, really all of you as Mom, to your child just for a little bit today. I guarantee you that will glorify God because that is truly a good deed, to not only love your child but to give him/her your undivided attention for any length of time.
