“The woman left her water jar
and went into the town and said to the people,
“Come see a man who told me everything I have done.
Could he possibly be the Christ?”
They went out of the town and came to him.” – John 4
The woman at the well did not believe. She encountered Jesus Christ, who was sitting at the well waiting for her. She believed and then she ran in to town to tell everyone. She was, likely, an outcast of the town. However, once she encountered Jesus she had to tell others. The woman at the well was the first person to truly evangelize. She was a woman – just saying – SHE WAS A WOMAN!
