Use Me, September 7, 2018 Daily Reflection

Spencer’s hands folded in prayer

Prayers can be memorized, long and confusing. Prayers can be felt and whispered. Prayers can lift us, bring us to our knees, encourage, or ground us. Prayers can be sang, said, shown, or given. Prayers can take so many forms. Anything that brings us in closer communication with the divine. Recently, I heard someone say when she prays she simply says, “Use me God” or “Send Me God” or “Where do you want me God.” Sometimes, we get so caught up in the method we forget the purpose. Today, reflect on what you need from God and simply ask from your heart in whatever way is comfortable.
