Work Reflection – Together, February 19, 2013 Daily Reflection

“Two are better than one. If the one falls, the other will lift up his companion.

Woe to the solitary man! For if he should fall he has no one to lift him up.”

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

In this “me” centered world, rooted in a culture of stepping on others to promote one’s position; team work is a bad word. We think that “I” am the only one who can complete this task. “I” am the one who deserves the credit. “I” will be promoted.

We often forget that together we can get more accomplished, more efficiently with more talents and more motivation.

Do not slip into the “I” trap with which the world so alluringly tempts each of us. “I” is alone in it all. “Woe to the solitary man!” There is no one to lift you when you fall, no one to connect with and be accepted by, no one to lean on and no one to care for in that type of existence.

We are the feet and the hands of Christ together we can change this world.

Today, try to do it together instead of alone.
