Yesterday, I came home to my daughter’s emotional outbreak about “women’s perfection.” She is a part of a study about body image and self esteem. The participants have to do activities based on the ideas our “society” holds about body image. She was very upset about the way it is portrayed. She read this letter that she wrote, to me and I almost cried with pride that this is my daughter:
