A tiny spider web

It’s small and barely noticeable but my daughter found this spider web in the grass as she was running to meet up with her friends. She could have simply run through it and not only disrupted the spiders work but destroyed the spider as well. However, something caught her eyes and she stopped, bent down saw it and called others attention to it. Everyone cautiously walked over or around the spider web.

How often in life do we run right over top of the beautiful creations of others? At work we are so focused on what we need to do to get out that sometimes we run over the ideas of others. In life we are so intent on getting things done that we seldom notice people around us especially if they seem to need our attention. How often do we walk passed a person and say “Hey, how are you doing?” and we never take the time to pause and hear the answer?

We should walk more gingerly through our lives because we could be stomping on others creation and livelihood. Today, be more aware of those around you. Who needs an uplifting smile, a pat on the back, a hug or just someone who will listen to their response? Today try to stop and pay attention to others.
