I had the chance to listen to some friends yesterday. I took that opportunity and completely listened. I got lost in the listening. I didn’t try to formulate a response and remember it while the person spoke. I simply listened, no judgement, no ideas, no distractions. I listened and they knew I was right there in that moment with them. It wasn’t about me. I held that space, opened my heart, and listened.
