Were not our hearts burning, March 16, 2017 Daily Reflection

“Then they said to each other, ‘Were not our hearts not burning [within us] while he spoke to us on the way and opened the scriptures to us?” Luke 24:32
Have you ever had a time in your life when you felt alive, like a fire was in your belly, ready to spread your faith to the world? It is the best feeling! When you know that God is working through you. Even if you don’t know why or for what purpose he is using you, just to be used by God is an amazing feeling. As St. Paul says, I want to be enslaved by Christ. I want to put on Christ. I want to be an instrument of the peace of Christ in the world today. I want my heart to be burning with an understanding and a passion for God’s love for the world.
