Mother’s Day, May 12, 2013 Sunday Tidbit

My boys and their cousin years ago in a preK/K soccer team

My Mother’s Day will consist of getting my family ready to go to Mass. Running home (literally we live walking distance from the church) to get my youngest changed and ready for his soccer game. Running back up to the soccer fields within 15 minutes and watching his game. Getting my other son ready for his soccer game and watching his. My husband will work the concession stand for me for 3 hours while I have time to go home with my children and eat lunch and relax for a bit. Then we have to get my daughter ready for her soccer game, watch it. Come home get the children ready for bed and fall down on the couch. Of course I did not mention the laundry and housework I have to catch up on because Saturday was packed with games and parties. This is a modern day mother’s day. And you know what I treasure the fact that I am so busy with my family! It is a perfect example of a full mother’s day. Someday in the future I will plant the flowers, slow down and read a book and be pampered but right now I get to be a mom and that is more than enough for me.

Happy Mother’s Day!
