My children

Our lives are filled with moments that become memories, and when explored and reflected upon experiences that have led us to become the people we are today.

There are mistakes I made in the past that I wish that I could erase. If I could rewrite history there are a few people whose paths I have crossed that I would prefer to never have met. It would have saved so much pain and anguish. However, I can’t change the past it has already been lived. Although I realize the poor choices I made, upon reflection I also comprehend that I did the best I could with where I was at that time in my life. Those people who still make me cringe allowed me to learn about who I am as a person, what I can endure, and how to gather strength and faith in God. They taught me that I don’t need to waste time with people who are judgmental, cruel, self-seeking, or just plain mean.

Then there are moments in life I wish I could relive over and over again. By the grace of God I am able to recall and cherish those moments. They are the moments I would not change a second of in my life. Those moments also taught me gratitude, love, devotion, and kindness.

Regardless, of the pain or the joy each experience can be one of growth if we allow ourselves to open our hearts to it. If we reflect and allow ourselves the distance to learn from it. If you are in a moment of happiness in your life share that joy with others. If you are in a place of pain ask God to help you through it and know that one day you will be a better person because you were able to endure it.

Each experience has led you to become the person you are today!
