So many of us have heard the saying “Let Go and Let God” when we are in situations that need to be given over to God. But if you are anything like me that is not easy to do. I recently read a book that gave the BEST image ever of how to do this. It came from “Rome Sweet Home” written by Scott and Kimberly Hahn. Kimberly comes to a pivotal turning point in her faith journey and says, “I felt like a little child when I went to bed that night, because I let God have it. I felt like a little kid sitting on her dad’s lap, pummeling this chest and crying until falling asleep exhausted. I did not resolve it further.” I can’t think of a better image of giving it to God, crying, fighting and falling asleep after letting it all out in your maker’s arms letting God take the rest from you.
