At the beginning of their project

At the beginning of their project

My oldest son, Ethan is constantly creating something mechanical. He has utlizied these skills from a young age. A few years ago he made a motorized bike from a broken weed eater engine, an old bike, and lots of creativity. Last year he put together a go kart with a lawn mower engine, lots of engineering, and hours of tinkering, it goes 30 mph. This summer he is working on a broken down old riding lawn mower. He has already taken off the blades, replaced a few parts and has it running. It had not run in over 2 years. He wants to make it into a racing mower. It’s amazing what someone can create and accomplish when given the opportunity, old broken engines, tools, and passion to invent, create and go fast!

At the science museum my son, his sister and his cousin built a go kart. It doesn’t have an engine but it sure does look good. God, only knows what Ethan will invent in the future? He has talked about a speed boat. I will never doubt his ability, determination, or drive to build anything he sets his mind to.
