Question
If you could ask God one question, what would you ask?
I posed this question to my students. One said “I would ask when I am going to die. Not the day and time but the year. I would want to know the year.” Another said “I would ask how my family members who are in heaven are doing.” Another said “I would ask God, why do you allowing suffering?” We were all right there in that deep moment and then the last comment came from a great student. “I would ask, God why did you make the dinosaurs if you were just going to kill them with a big meteorite? I mean really, they were great amazing creatures and no one got to see them. Why?” I couldn’t help but chuckle a bit and move on.
But it got me thinking what I would ask God if I only had one question. At this point in my life I think it would be “God, How can I do your will with my life?” I say that now but only God knows what I would say, if I could actually speak if I ever saw His face.
What would you ask if you could ask only one question?
