The statement, “Our human reality means that every new experience affects us, some experiences significantly so. The incidents in themselves may be very small, but our response to them may change our lives” is embedded into my soul (Fleischer et al.165).
I believe that God exposes us to many experiences in life not to test us, but to build our character. Each event becomes an opportunity to avoid or to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ and the tradition he so resiliently set in motion for us over 2,000 years ago. It is our reaction to our experiences that define who we are and what we can do with the love of God in our hearts.
