Quote about courage

Courage – “Do Not Follow Where The Path May Lead Go Instead Where There Is No Path And Leave A Trail”

Why is it that we humans like to follow each other somewhat like a herd? We don’t want to stray too far from the herd or do anything that might seem too strange. The majority of us want to be right in the middle of the herd surrounded by others. Many of us want to just follow each other, be together and be content. That cannot be a bad thing right? It’s good to have company and when we stay together then we cannot be lost or lonely. There is nothing wrong with following the herd, it’s easier, more comfortable and can be fulfilling.

Then there are those of us who don’t want to be part of a herd and at all costs we break free of the boundaries created for us. We don’t want to follow we want to lead and find our own way different from the rest. We want to think new thoughts and challenge the herd we want to live life to the fullest with new ideas and new visions. We are not content just being in the middle. We are also the ones who will be made fun of for being different. We do not talk the same, think the same or act the same as the others and so we stand out. It is the price we pay to break loose from the herd.

Neither way is bad. They are what they are. We are all different even the ones comfortable in the middle of the herd. We are all needed. Without each other there would be no herd. Without the leader they would be still. Without the one who dreams and reaches further we would never find new land, and new grass to graze on. There is a need for every one of us and neither is less than the other just different.

Courage: I think is being true to exactly who you are and not trying to be someone else. Yet, one must strive for growth to be the best possible person within the truth of who they are

So today think about who you are and be true to yourself.
