My daughter

Last night I attended my daughter’s mock schedule night at her high school. She is a senior this year. I was able to talk with a few of her teachers. One of whom talked about what a good person she is and how skilled she is in her particular discipline. Another teacher told me that she believes she is an amazing young woman. She can’t wait to see what she will do in this world.

Hearing compliments about our children, as a parent, is wonderful. It feels good to hear someone say she is pretty or smart. It is humbling when you hear others acknowledge her goodness, heart, kindness, and care for others. I am a very proud mom! All of my children make me proud. I could try to take the credit for who they are, but I can’t they were created by God, loved by me, my husband and my family. They were brought up with faith in a church community, and educated by people who loved them. They have been supported and encouraged by so many people in their lives that I can’t take the credit, but I can be proud of who they are, and I am!
