Great Grandma age 95 and Jake age 8
We are in the middle of our Birthday Extravaganza in our family. We have 8 birthdays between Feb 2 and March 27th. Out of the nine weekends between those dates much of our extended family are together for 7 of the weekends. This is a picture of my grandma who is 95 hugging her youngest great grandson Jake on his birthday, he just turned 8.
Birthdays are a great time to reflect on the year we have just lived through. All of the year’s ups and downs, disappointments and accomplishments. Children enjoy getting older and adults dread it once they turn 30. What we overlook as adults is all that we have learned, the wisdom we have been granted, the experiences, both good and bad, that have made us who we are today. We need to embrace our birthdays and let it be a time of reflection and celebration that we have come this far and we have further still to go in this life time
