A Job Well Done, June 17, 2013 Daily Reflection

Anna’s stepping stones

Her dad found the stones. They brought them home together. He taught her how to dig the dirt out to fit the shape of each stone. She shoveled the dirt; she knelt in the mulch and laid each stone. She placed the mulch just right. When she finished she stepped cautiously across the stones one foot at a time with her pretty painted toenails smudged with dirt from her work. Now she can reap the reward of a job well done. She did that all by herself and it looks beautiful.

One of the most satisfying parts of a job is being able to stand back and look at your work and savor the results. I think maybe God stood back when He was finished, He wiped His hands off and looked at the world with a smile and enjoyed His work.
