Two of my sons
I have been a mom for almost 13 years now and it never ceases to amaze me how much I love each one of my children. When I really think about the love I feel for them it literally takes my breath away and leaves me in tears. I would without hesitation step in front of a bullet for any one of them. I look at their faces and realize it is more than your typical “love”. The love a mother has for her child is unconditional and unbelievable. Before we have children other moms try to describe it but they know it is impossible. It is like falling in love only you never stop! That child can drive you crazy when they are crying as infants, test your limits physically as toddlers and drive you bonkers with questions when they are little, they can push you to the edge as a teen but the love never stops.
This must be the type of love God feels for each one of us. You know we drive God crazy with our bad choices. We test Him constantly and distance ourselves from Him when we are not satisfied with life. We walk away from Him and sometimes we stomp and throw fits. But no matter how hard we push Him, God, just keeps right on loving us through it all.
I thank God for my children daily. They have made me a better person. I love them more deeply than my words can ever express. I suppose that’s how God must feel about each one of us. And if you are wondering YES, THAT INCLUDES YOU!!
