This Election Day, November 6, 2012 An Election Tidbit

An American Flag

I listened to my morning show “Lindsey and Lambert” on 102.3 the Max, while I ran my morning 3 mile run. They always make me laugh. But this morning after the laughing had died down Linda gave an eloquent brief talk about how important it is on this Election Day to vote. She did not suggest a candidate and she did not push an agenda. She reached out across the airwaves to say “At the end of the day we are all on the same side.” Much like what I posted on my Face Book Page this morning said “Respect and love all people because we are ALL creations of God no matter who we vote for in this election!”

We all have opinions. We all have ideas and we each follow different candidates, different faiths and different beliefs but as Linda so eloquently pointed out “WE are all on the SAME SIDE”. We want what is best for our country.

Today go out and vote. If you have become disheartened by politics please think about your children and grandchildren. Think about the example you set by performing your civic duty. Women literally died to give me the right to vote in their honor I stood proud today when I marked my ballot.

Today, Vote and after it is all said and done be kind and accept whoever wins. Because “WE ARE ALL ON THE SAME SIDE” and we should love and respect all people because we are creations of God no matter who we vote for in this election!
