A river

The lazy meandering river winding through the clay of the earth, like a snake sunning itself for all to see. That river 36000 feet below produces the energy for small town in Nebraska to survive. That river is at the core of their livelihood a central part of their existence. Without its water there would be no electricity to run the town, no electrical company to provide the jobs, no grocery stores to supply the food for the needs of the small town. It is the core, it is central to their survival.

God is the core without whom we could have no life, no family, no faith, no love, and no real existence. From God all else flows like the river supporting the town if you allow God He will support your life.
