A few of my favorite seniors
I have been on senior retreat for the last two days with 66 17 and 18 year old teenagers. It is an atmosphere filled with hormones, emotions, revelations, and confessions. Oh, my goodness! It’s like many of them have waited years to release all these emotions. What is amazing about the experience is that their fellow teens begin to realize they are all in it together. Others are going through the exact same raw emotions and no one is truly in it alone. They are given the space, support and guidance to let go in a safe place and realize that they can rediscover their friendship with God.
Retreats are a great release. Not enough people take the time to walk away from life, allow themselves the time to be supported, and guided in their walk with God. Please say a prayer for these teens and the people leading them that they are able rediscover God in the depths of their souls.
