Anna's Derby Artwork

My daughter is only 10 and she drew, painted and colored this horse grazing in the sunset light on a hillside in Kentucky. Is it me or is this a really good picture for a 10 year old?

I am a mom and moms see things that others cannot always see when they look at our children. I can see beauty, love, selflessness, kindness, gentleness, great intelligence, artistic talent and so much more. I can see passed the flaws and see her heart. I can see her as that baby I once held who only wanted me to hold her and calm her. I can see the little girl in pink sundresses and pigtails. I can see her sweet peanut butter and jelly grins. I can see love and God’s truest gift to me when I look at her. I can see pure, innocent love right there in front of me. Am I biased no I am in love. Not a romantic love but an unconditional pure love. A dedication and loyalty that if asked to I would lay down my life for. I am a mom. There is no better gift in this life than being her mom.

Is it me or is this picture really good for a 10 year old, my 10 year old, my only daughter, and my love?

Yes, Lori, I agree that is a great picture for a 10-year old (and better than I could do at any age!). Best of luck, Anna.
