How do you lead your life?, January 22, 2015 Daily Reflection

Following God“I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn’t, than live as if there isn’t and to die to find out that there is.” –Albert Camus

One of my students quoted this today in class. This speaks volumes! My students witness daily how passionate I am about following the purpose that God gives me. I have told them several times I go where God leads. I don’t know if I will be a teacher two years from now, it just depends on where God is calling me. They are often blown away that someone would base everything on the faith I have in God. Faith is not logical, it doesn’t pay the bills, and it sure isn’t the easy way through life. They often ask me, “Ms. HD, what if in the end there is no God and you thought you followed him, changing your entire life for God. What then?” To which I reply, “I would rather lead my life following God and find out in the end that he is not there because at least I lead a good, helpful, kind life, in service to others. It would be worth it to lead a good life. But I know he does exist!”

What about you? What do you think about that quote?
