As adults we have learned how to become independent, self- reliant and completely capable of managing a career, raising a family, paying a mortgage and living the life of good citizens. However, this independence and self reliance has given us a false sense of control. We think we have it all together. So we have distanced ourselves from God little by little through our journey of life. Without realizing it we have started to hide behind our many responsibilities and no longer seek a more intimate relationship with God, filled with trust and friendship. God is on the back burner of our lives and everything else is right in front of us.
What can we do to change this fault in our lives? The first thing we can do is realize this is true. Then what?
